Not all of us are so dedicated to healthy living that we pursue it because we love the lifestyle. In fact, most have reached that point because we had the proverbial bottom drop out on our health at some point. For me, that came to pass after years of a high-stress, non-stop journey in business and tech consulting. And the answer life gave me came with a near visit to an early grave.
To be honest my race to the bottom started way before I had a career. Like many others in the States, I grew up on fast food, junk food and “convenience” food. If it was easy, accessible, cheap…and unhealthy, then I was eating it. This led to a buildup of toxicity that left me on an endless cycle of doctor and dental visits. I suffered from everything: from cystic acne, stomach pain, and constipation, to chronic fatigue, hair loss, infections and weight gain. All the ailments none of us wants—ever. While I began to suspect that my diet and lifestyle might have something to do with how I was feeling, I ignored my gut. I just kept plugging right along right up until the day I nearly died from toxemia.
Thankfully, this was the major turning point that woke me up to the reality. How I lived, what I chose to eat, and the products I used had major impacts on my health. I started on a new journey to learn as much as I could about reversing the damage I’d caused with my poor dietary choices. Eventually, that led me to pursue a formal education and certification as a holistic health coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.
In addition to my formal education, I consumed as many books, documentaries, and videos as I could get my hands on. Every now and again I’d come across a burning bush experience – oddities that stopped me in my tracks and caused me to turn aside to learn more. The common thread in each of these testimonies became increasingly clear…they were stories of Christians who had healed from the “unhealable”, and they did so following Biblical principles.
The more I studied these testimonies, God’s Word, and natural health, the more the truth became apparent.
Change Your Mindset, Change Your Life
God’s word contains EVERYTHING we need to lead lives of godliness, and to fulfill the purposes for which we were created. We will experience abundance in our health, in our relationships, and in every other area of our life in direct proportion to how closely our lifestyle and choices are aligned to biblical principles.
I and countless of my brothers and sisters in Christ have suffered needlessly because we failed to understand this simple truth.
It’s through my in-depth study of God’s word, wellness theories and coaching methods that I’ve had the opportunity to help myself and others end our cycle of toxicity. My mission in life now is to support the Christian community on our journey to clean living.
Why am I so passionate about what I do? Because what we don’t know about our foods, our bodies and our choices is truly killing us day by day. Chronic diseases have reached pandemic levels in the United States; with illnesses such as diabetes, cancer, heart disease, and autoimmunity predicted to continue to rise despite the trillions of dollars spent on healthcare. There is a better way, and God has let us the roadmap in his Word.
I believe that neither technology, improved drugs nor more advanced diagnostic procedures are going to save us. The solution lies in simply understanding the true causes of disease and toxicity – and that is lifestyles that are at odds with God’s natural laws and principles. When we align our diet and lifestyle with his Word, we experience abundance. It’s that simple.
If you’re tired of being sick and tired, I encourage you to join me on this journey of health and wellness. Let me educate you on the hidden ways that we inadvertently expose ourselves daily to disease-promoting toxins. Most importantly, I can provide you with real-life, actionable steps to reverse the trends leading to ill health. All so that you can be better positioned to fulfill your calling in Christ.
Join me today in taking back our collective health—for ourselves and for future generations. Take a look around my site for ways to get started, or pop over to my free Clean Living Community in Facebook and say hello.
I’d love to hear from you!
